Organizations

Painted Rock has a number of organizations working together to create a safe, happy and productive school.  See below for more information about each organization.

PTA - Parent Teacher Association

The Painted Rock PTA is a non-profit group of parents and staff who provide programs and activities that enhance the school experience for students and help build community at our school.  We all know that children learn more and are more successful when parents, school staff, students, and the community work together. PTA programs include Cultural Arts, Character Counts, Red Ribbon Week, Parent / Child Dances and so much more.  Parents and other family members are encouraged to become PTA members by visiting the website or completing the membership form sent home with students at the beginning of the school year. 

Membership offers these advantages:

• Great resources from parenting tips, homework help to educational legislation & more.
• Have a voice in legislation that may affect education at the district, state and national level.
• Discounts given by participating companies with use of your membership card. 

Painted Rock Educational Foundation

The Painted Rock Educational Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational resources to students and teachers at Painted Rock.  PRESFDN is made up of a group of parents and staff at Painted Rock who work together with the principal to identify school and staff needs that are not met by other means (i.e. school budget, PTA, etc).  PRESFDN was established to raise additional funds to be able to explore and expand the quality of education for all Painted Rock students.  Funds can be used for short-term or long-term projects that benefit the school and education. PRESFDN has a number of fundraisers throughout the year many of which are fun for our students.
 
Fun Foundation Events Include:

• Class T-shirts
• “Time with Teacher” Auction
• Silent Auction Event 

Volunteers and Visitors 

We welcome Volunteers at Painted Rock to help in a variety of ways.    Teachers use volunteers in the classroom to work with students, correct classwork, help with projects, and more.  There are also a number of school-wide events planned throughout the year which can only happen with the support of our volunteers.  We ask all Volunteers and Visitors to sign-in at the office when on campus during the school day.  This allows us to know who is on campus at all times.
